My car unexpectedly broke down today, 3/11/25 and I needed a quick tow. I didnt know anyone so I called Coop Towing. They changed a bad experience to a Good one. They “ literally” came out in a little over an hour jumped my battery and towed my car to my mechanic. Wow , I was So impressed! I Highly Recommend Coop Towing and I was extremely satisfied. They provided Excellent Service, were Very Accommodating, and a real Pleasure to work with. Im telling all my friends about them. You Seriously Cant Go Wrong. Thank You Coop Towing! Their truck just crossed the lanes extremely dangerously with no caution at all inside the liberty tunnel. I know there might be some emergency but this carelessness can cause a fatal accident. This is definitely not a good impression for a towing company. Just because you have a contract with the city that doesn’t mean you have a free pass to break all traffic laws and regulations. Retrieved my car from the impound. Everyone were very nice. But now my car sounds like they damaged my muffler or exhaust. It wasn't loud like that before it for towed there and also took my key off the key chain. I'm not happy with my car sounding like that at all. I can't afford to take a day off and especially to leave it there, I need my car.
Great service! Chase we quick, efficient and great cx service. I would recommend using McGann & Chester towing. He pulled in and had my truck loaded and pulling out in no time. It looks easy but the support bars for my bed on of his truck but the way chase maneuvered his truck and and bed was impressive.

I want to start this review by saying McGann and Chester are the most efficient tow truck service I have ever seen. I was told, 60 to 90 minutes and they were there within 15. Not only was the Service fast, but the Driver Ryan was absolutely a joy to be around. He was kind, and a wonderful person. I couldn't recommend him, and this company more. Absolutely the best towing service hands down. I'd give them 10stars if Google didn't limit you to 5.

Glenn was very accommodating. Had a set time to work with and he met it down to the minute. If I ever have issues in the Pittsburgh area, I will be calling Glenn and you should too. On our way to the doctor my aunt's car broke down, she called Glenn's Towing because her friend had recommended them. It didn't take him long at all to get there, and he took very good care of her "baby" (she loves her car). She said the price was very affordable. Amazing crew. Customer service was amazing (went out of his way to calm me down from the incident). Put the spare tire on my car on the side of the road in a residential area in record time. What would have made me call off of work left me less than an hour late. Sometimes god works through others and I think an angel had to have been with us this day.
Call them first!! I needed them for a motorcycle tow (on a very tight schedule, my insurance company had me waiting for hours with false time quotes) excellent and prompt service. Most importantly kept close to the time frame quoted and did not get irritated when I called back for an update, in fact he had the driver call me directly. The drivers were approachable, helpful and friendly. I wanted to tip them but they unloaded so fast and was on to their next job! Highly recommend Stickles Towing!
Harrison got in contact with me and was more then a pleasure to speak with. Gave me (2) quotes and best option. Sent pictures picking it up and dropping it off without me there. If I could give Rick 10 stars I would. I was performing maintenance on my personal vehicle and encountered issues about halfway through. After searching the internet for any solution, insight or mobile mechanic (being that it was 7pm), Rick answered my phone call. He easily could have relegated me to the morning or to a shop, but instead he spent a little less than an hour on the phone with me assisting me with troubleshooting as well as finding the solution to the issue. His extensive knowledge of automotive and local shop recommendations is superb as well, and I would 100% recommend him for your service needs.
Ricky installed my interlock for me and was absolutely spectacular to work with through the process.
After a frustrating experience with Erie roadside assistance, this guy showed up for a lockout within 5 minutes of being dispatched. Pleasant & fast - like a super hero!

24-hours except Sunday. Called the day before to arrange a tow. They gave me a quote. I called the next day to no avail. Left voicemails, called multiple times and they never returned my call.

After having been stuck with the kids for over 2 hours waiting for our roadside assistance and another company, I reached out to Golden Hook and came to the rescue right away and allowed us to leave the car so I could get the kids warm and safe. I recently was in an accident in a very dangerous area with cars all around in a blind spot. By chance , Dennis was there with his tow truck, and he got right out and towed my SUV to his business .He was so kind , professional, and helpful. He even dropped me off at my house and spoke to my husband for me because I was a bit shook up. He kept in contact with me the whole time , letting me know each step of the way. Wow, what a delightful experience it was to break down, get totally stranded, and eventually have my truck towed by TAG! I mean, who doesn’t dream of being stuck on the side of the road in need of rescue? But, in all seriousness, it wasn’t that bad—thanks to them. Let’s talk about the owner first—what a character. He runs things with this unique blend of old-school gruffness and, dare I say, occasional unintentional humor. It’s almost endearing. Almost. But don’t worry—the real gem here is his son. If you’re lucky enough to deal with him, you might actually forget you’re having a bad day. He’s everything his dad secretly wishes he could be: personable, efficient, and somehow capable of making you feel like your life isn’t completely falling apart. Fair prices? Check. Trustworthy service? Double-check. And they manage to do it all with a smile—or at least the son does.

You better hope they don't get called for an "emergency tow" if your vehicle is involved in an accident. $720 for a 4 mile tow and 17 hours of storage. Legal robbery I guess. Edited to add: about the complexity of this tow - it was a small sedan that was drivable and had only headlight assembly damage and dents/scratches to a quarter panel and bumper. The time was around 8pm.
Damaged my vehicle's rear bumper, got dirt all in the exhaust pipe, and then tried to claim it was me hitting a curb, whereas I have not driven the car anywhere since January because I haven't been able to register her here in PA. The damage was not there this morning, it gets towed while I'm not at home, and the next time I see my car it has the damage.
Very helpful. Took a look at my car when people at Jiffy Lube had me worried I had an expensive fix ahead of me. Brian kept my mind at ease and after they looked at it and reassured me nothing was wrong did my oil change and had me road ready.
These are the worst set of people I ever worked with ever in my entire life of 40 years of existence I never been through what I've been through today at this tow place they are horrible I wouldn't even send my worst enemy there
My Mazda 3's serpentine belt was catching on my tensioner pulley, which led to the serpentine belt snapping. I had the car towed to another repair shop prior to Ferra's, where I was quoted $800. I am by no means a mechanic, but I knew that price was more than a bit inflated. I had the car brought to Ferra's, where the same repair cost me less than half as much as the original bid. Brian, the service advisor, was very friendly an helpful, and so was Bruce, the technician assigned to repair my car. Brian was very communicative and Bruce went the extra mile to show me some additional repairs that I should really start thinking about. I really value honesty and professionalism, and in both of those categories, Ferra's is a 5-star business. I will be using their services regularly from now on. Thanks guys!

I called Allegheny recovery and cargo hauling for a lockout. The owner Rocco showed up within 30 minutes. He unlocked my car and retrieved my keys in less than a minute. The last time that happened, I called AAA it took them 2 hours to get there and the guy took another half hour trying to get in my car. Also AAA left scratch marks all over the door… I’m glad I called Allegheny recovery cargo and I will definitely call them in the future for any of my towing needs. Also, I have an old broke down car. Rocco told me he would come pick it up tomorrow, Bring it to the junkyard and split the money with me. I like this guy!!!

I request Critchlow's when ever I need a car towed. I have used their battery and AAA towing service on several occasions. I had also had several cars repaired through their body and service shops. Always professional and always top quality work performed. I have no problem recommending them to anyone.
Critchlow responded to a AAA request I made for a dead battery. Zach, the man they sent, is exactly the kind of guy you want to see show up when you're stranded somewhere. He very obviously knows what he's doing and he did his work neatly and efficiently. Zach was friendly and personable and had a good sense of humor. I enjoyed talking with him while he replaced my battery. Additionally, the vehicle that Zach drove was clean, in good repair, and neatly organized inside (from what I could see). I think this speaks well of the overall quality of Critchlow and the service they provide. Coming out of a store to a car that won't start is a crappy, crappy experience; Zach (and, by extension, Critchlow) made it much less so.
I had to call AAA because I not only had a flat tire but my car was also over heating and leaking antifreeze. I was so upset because I was coming from my 1st job and on my way to my second one when this happened. When my driver Damian arrived he was the absolute sweetest about the whole situation, very light hearted and optimistic. He turned the entire experience around for me and not only that but he made my day. He made sure I got to my next destination safely and I couldn't of appreciated that more. I had such a good experience with him and this company, thanks a million.
I contacted Jeff Critchlow Auto Body after I hit a deer and the front end and driver side of my car was pretty badly damaged. Sandy was extremely kind and helpful over the phone and she informed me step by step how to handle this with my insurance company, the car rental, and informed me I could bring my car in at my convenience and they will be ready for me. I was running late for work the day I was taking my car in, Sandy helped me over the phone to accommodate me so I would not be there too long when I arrived with my car. I was in and out picked up by the rental company. I was contacted by Mark ( I believe that was his name)every step of the way to let me know what was going on with my car. He described everything in detail in a way that I would understand and answered all my questions. I didn't feel rushed or as if I was annoying him, he was extremely kind, informative, and helpful. He told me he would write a specific note down on my paperwork, and he did just that, where as other places don't follow through sometimes when they say they will do little things to help you out. I appreciated his time and help. They were also accurate and honest about how long my car would be there. When It was time to pick my car up, they told me I could leave the rental off there and they would handle getting it returned, this saved me so much time. When I arrived and saw my car I could instantly tell I was extremely pleased just from the looks of it!! I was so excited to see my car all fixed and the paint job was perfect. When i had dropped my car off it was pretty dirty on the inside and out, it was spotless when I picked it up... even the inside!! I met Jeff, the owner and Sandy was there to get me squared away( they even waited for me because I was running late once again 🤦♀️). Even though their work day was done, they both took the time to talk to me and Jeff even gave me some pointers about other car issues I had since before my accident. I had some concerns regarding the rental I was turning in because I didn't have time to clean it up a bit before turning it in, and had driven through an area where lines must have just been painted. Jeff assured me I didn't have to worry and even followed up with me to let me know it was able to be cleaned off. They went above and beyond helping me with my car, my concerns, and even the rental car. I could not be more grateful and pleased with the service. My dad and uncle always told me, "Go to Jeff Critchlow," and now I know why! I will definitely be back with any future needs! Thank you so much to everyone that made my car actually look and feel better than when I first purchased it!
Had a dead battery on the side of a busy road, at 5p m, called AAA, this company was the 1 to respond. Jake, the driver/mechanic showed up almost an hour before estimated arrival time, had my car battery tested and replaced within 10mins. I opted for a new battery, roadside. It was only about 7bux more than advance auto charged for a new battery and I wouldn't have had to go out of my way to buy it and have it placed. So convenient to just be one call and done! Very grateful to Jake and this auto body shop for helping me, quickly, in my time of need. Thanks, guys!

My car started overheating tonight, (on a late, dark, rainy Sunday evening). I had to pull over on the side of the road in West Mifflin, PA. There weren’t any businesses/homes around me. Many other places were closed/unavailable. I called Pittsburgh Towing Services, and they arrived and had my car towed within 30-40 minutes. The workers were very friendly, professional, and efficient. My car was towed 10-minutes away from my location to a shop. The driver (was given permission from his boss to) let me ride with him to the shop. I’m very grateful for them because I wasn’t left alone in the dark and rain. :) I 100% recommend this business and plan to use them again in the future.
This place is proof not all angels have wings! Major car issues late at night with nowhere to go. Stranded and panicked to say the least! Anthony immediately answered and had it all fixed despite having to get multiple parts from around PA all within 12 hours. Forever grateful. 110% recommend his work - but even more so, him!
Pittsburgh Towing is awesome! I waited 4 hours for AAA to help me before they finally said no one was coming at 12am. 30 min after I contacted them and he was there - amazing speed. He found the issue with my vehicle almost immediately. I have a newer car and the parking break kept engaging when attempting to tow me. Instead of risking damage to my vehicle, he towed me to a safer location, went to his garage a bit down the road to get what he needed to patch my coolant line right there on the side of the road. He then told me to call him if anything went wrong and he would bring his flatbed up to tow me the rest of the way. He was extremely kind and really helped me in a tough situation. Above and beyond customer service. I will be calling them from now on if I’m ever broken down in Pittsburgh and you should too! Thank you!

This place is a complete scam. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Unless you want to pay whatever price they decide they want to charge you that day with zero transparency then do not bother calling. We needed a tow and they charged $250 and refused to take the car to the car place we needed it to go. Instead, they took it to their place and told us if we wanted the car fixed it would be another $1000 for a job that at most a real car place would charge at most $500 for. We decided to have the car towed by someone else to our actual car place. The tow guy from the other place apologized to us on Anthony’s Towing’s behalf because it was clear to him they were scamming us. Anthony’s towing never mentioned a storage fee then decided to charge us $85+/day, which is WAY more than most places IF they even have a storage fee. Lastly, when we arrived to pick up the car, they stated their credit card machine was broken so we’d have to pay in cash. Luckily I was able to drive to a bank and had cash available, otherwise they would’ve kept my car and charged me more fees when it was THEIR problem the card machine was broken. They had the other tow guy blocked in with my car and refused to let him leave until we had cash in hand. I would absolutely never recommend Anthony’s Towing to anyone. Transparency and kindness go a long way, Anthony’s Towing has neither of those qualities.

The owner, TJ Windhurst, came for the car. He was friendly and professional. He even showed me where someone else had caused damage to the car when the previous owner needed it towed. He used other methods so as not to cause further damage. I’m hoping I don’t need the car towed again, but if I ever did, I would not hesitate to reach out to this company again.
I kid you not, this is the most passionate 5 star review I have/will ever leave. Last week, on what was already one of the worst day of my life after dealing with the loss of a close friend, a cement truck swerved into my car on ohio river boulevard. It was terrifying, after spinning across multiple lanes of traffic and into a hillside, I was lucky to be okay but shaking head to toe so hard that I could barely stand. Clearly someone, perhaps a friend, was looking out for me in heaven because only a few cars behind me was Patrick from Windhurst towing in his truck. He helped reroute traffic, called tbe authorities, and when I couldn't get cell service, he let me use his phone to call my people and insurance. This man stayed by my side through the duration of the process from reassuring me immediately after impact to bringing in backup support to dislodge my car from the hillside to towing it to my insurance's approved shop and driving me home. His colleagues and sister were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I cannot believe my luck to have these folks in the right place at the right time, but let me tell you this: every parent in western PGH needs to put a card for Windhurst in their kids glove box with their insurance card. These people are in the business for helping people first and foremost and it shows. Please consider liking this review to help me continue paying back and paying forward the good grand Patrick and his team gifted me. I am truly so grateful

Very professional! Great service.
I’m 22 and this was the first time I had car trouble. I was a wreck. This was the only company that answered me at 11pm at night. I was stranded on the side of the road because my tire fell off and they answered the phone quickly and were there within a half an hour. They were extremely helpful, got me off the side of the road and towed to where I needed to go. They even helped me and showed me where to drop off my keys at the Honda dealership. They dropped me off at the nearest gas station like (as requested) so my friends could drive me home. Have their number saved in case I ever have trouble again. 10/10 recommend. Thanks SO much.

I would have given 0 stars if I could have. Yesterday I ended up getting a flat tire, which obviously is pretty inconvenient. I have car shield and they said this towing service was in network which I was OK with because the reviews made it seem like I would’ve been taken care of, if only that were the case! The wait time was 1hour and 30 minutes which I was fine with that since I knew I wasn’t the only one dealing with an inconvenience. It got to 1 hour 45 mins and I still hadn’t heard anything. At this point I’ve called a bunch and so did car shield. We would have left messages as instructed by the voicemail if the mailbox had not been full 🙄 it got to the 2 and half mark and I simply canceled the service because the tire place I needed the car towed too was closed at this point. I had to put on the donut and wait the next day. My point is this company should use more organization and make sure people aren’t waiting without any update on the service requested! I’d like to make it well known that the owner of the company goes and post lies under each negative review just to make it look better even though it’s never true what their side of the story says
Don’t believe any of these good reviews because they are probably not true I scheduled an appointment for 3pm the driver called and said he was gonna be 20 minutes late then I called a half hour later and he said 15 more minutes then I called 20 minutes later and he said 3 minutes so I called their dispatcher and she called him and he said he turned around because I tried to negotiate prices which is a lie because we already had the price settled then why lie and say I tried to negotiate the price
I needed to have an illegally parked car towed from my private driveway late at night and they came within a half an hour and did an extra special job. I highly rate them and will definitely use them again if the need arises. Awesome folks. I'd give 1,000,000 stars if I could.

I was sitting at a stop sign during rush hour traffic and was hit from behind by an non-licensed, uninsured driver and sustained injury to my neck. When Swissvale Police arrived, along with ambulance, I specifically stated to have my vehicle towed by AAA even though it was driveable because I had to go to ER. Swissvale Police ignored my request and had my vehicle towed by Culgan Towing. When I was released from UPMC Shadyside Hospital I tried to retrieve my car but was told I could not have it until I paid for the towing. I receive disability income and told them I have AAA so it is truly unfair that I have to come up with money I do not have to get my car when I was the one obeying the traffic law of stopping at the stop sign. It has already been over a week and the fees are continuing to add up. I've asked Swissvale Police to help me (because I am the victim), but they are with Culgan Towing. Why are you treating a disabled victim so unfairly. They will not even let me get my belongings out of the car. I am staying with someone & have papers in the car to get a Section 8 apt & now I'm going to lose the apt. Can someone please explain to me how this can be legally right. By the time I get my check for August, I will have to give the whole amount ($800) to Culgan leaving me with nothing. That might not even be enough by then seeing that they are charging a daily storage fee.Not the $200 deposit I need to pay for apt and nothing to pay my way at where I'm staying. I was given until August 16 because that is when I would've been able to get the apt after paying the $200 on the 1st. My best friend even wired me $100 from FL & I tried to make an agreement with Culgan, but to my dismay, they were completely heartless. So as it stands, I will be without a vehicle and homeless. I am in constant pain and the stress is making me severely depressed. I thought the Police was suppose to protect & serve. Taking from the poor instead of helping them is why America is the way it is. Is there anyone out there who can PLEASE help me.
Although they towed my car for 225 on Friday evening and are not open on weekends but still charged me $60 per day😒, Brandon was a a great employee and made everything as simple and easy as possible. Others were not so helpful or respectful. Thank you Brandon
Don't let your car or truck get impounded here. Over charge for storage. $60 a day is crazy. It ain't like they're going to put my car in a heated garage or something. Sad to charge that much in a pandemic..
I used this place the people are nice and very professional I need a tire the next the guy who towed my truck called my fone to inform he had found one for me i had on but i appreciate the fact he took the extra mile to call me an made sure i had found a tire I got towed once it was reasonable The 2nd tow was a bit pricey swissvale to monrovile but not the most expensive tow so overall not bad
The tow truck driver did a terrific job with pulling a nonrunning, long, antique car onto the flatbed without any scrapes of the undercarriage or front edges. He made use of wood pieces to ease the car up to achieve tire contact with the truck bed. I appreciated the special care he took with my 1964 Ford Custom. Thank you, Culgan Towing!

I got my car towed from CARSON ST a month ago and they said it would be 75$ to hook it up and $4 a mile after that. The people were very nice, we got it towed 7 miles away to a garage nearby, the total amounted to $103.00. We used a credit card. When we checked our bank statement it said they had taken $185.00 out of my account!!!!!!!!!! When we called Howard's a man answered and said ohhh okay hold on and he never came back!!!! We called the credit card company and told them about the scam, so they took automatically took the 82$ off. I have the receipt for 103$ and everything from the driver!! This place is a scam just looking for people who are DESPERATE for help!! Do NOT GO HERE!!!
For some reason I always come home to find someone parked in my assigned parking spot that I pay monthly for and there are few things more annoying to me than that. Luckily, Howard's is great and professional. The truck showed up in 10 minutes and I was able to park in my spot within 15 minutes. In one situation, the person who's car was being towed was very aggressive and hostile and the tow truck driver basically looked out for me and handled the situation.
NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE. It is a true story! I went to the Marathon gas station in Forbes street and bought gas from them. Then I parked my car to go and check their car wash and also one other store in the street. It did NOT take more than 15 minutes. Can you guess what happened then? Howard's towing came and towed my car! I started arguing with them over the phone but our discussion didn't go anywhere. I went to the towing company (far from the gas station). They said that as soon as I buy gas, then I'm not anymore their customer and I can't park there any more (even not for 1 more minute!). I called 911, but they said that they can not help me and I should go to the court. Then I still refused to pay them money but they said that they will keep the car and won't give it me back. They were very rude and were almost going to get my smart phone to make sure that they will get their money back! Can you believe it?! To be honest, the way that they are treating their customers is really really bad. PLEASE PLEASE never use their service or buy anything from them.
I dont post reviews much, but feel it necessary to express my grattitude after my most recent experience. Been using Howard's throughout the years since 2012 and there were times when I was down bad, or caught up in a bind and Howard or one of his crew members would literally save the day for me. Wouldnt tax me like some other places and provided exceptional services that made outcomes for me much more manageable. Thank you! 1 of 3 businesses I use for all my car needs!
After riding my Harley all day I broke down 45 Miles from Home and I had AAA Plus RV and after 5 Hrs. They could not find anyone to haul my bike. I Called Howard''s Towing and they came 50 Miles to help me out at 10:00 PM. I would "HIGHLY" recommend these guys. Very Friendly and willing to help. I called AAA back and they are going to reimburse me in full. Thanks Jess!!!
