I was stuck on Bear Creek road (Santa Cruse hills) - Mirwais came and took care of everything. Loaded my car onto his flatbed and drove me to my house in the Santa Cruz’s hills. Suffice to say maneuvering the tight hairpin turns and one lane road up a hill takes talent. Mirwais was amazing. He was courteous and patient….Five Stars!!

The office texted me when driver will be arriving. The driver, Martin, was very efficient in loading my unstartable 700lb cruiser. I followed him in my car to the shop where my bike would get serviced and he was very quick. Tow was a little pricey but I would rather pay a little more for text updates than wait like a fool for other companies who may make you wait over an hour.

I'm not sure why a tow company would drop a busted vehicle in front of their business. Then, when asked if they can remove it, tell me to call 311. That's the same as you telling me to call your parents to clean your own room. I'll update this posting once it's gone, but let's do better "All Star Towing."

My work van’s alternator died on the freeway on my way home from work. AAA refused to tow me because of the size of my vehicle- told me to call a commercial towing company. I called around and was getting what I thought were pretty high quotes for a 5 mile tow and told it would be an hour or longer till a driver could get to me. I randomly called San Jose Tow Company and was pleasantly surprised when the very pleasant dispatch operator gave me a quote MUCH lower & said I could get picked up in 35 minutes. Carlos, my driver was there sooner than expected & set straight to work. He had a small portable charger that bypassed the alternator so he could just drive the van onto the truck. I was chained down in just a couple minutes & we were on our way. Drop off was a breeze. It’s never a good day when you’re getting towed- but these guys definitely made this bad day as easy as it could be! Thanks guys! I’ll definitely be calling you first if this ever happens again instead of spending the night in my work van.

I unfortunately didn't check yelp before I called B.B Auto & Tow for help towing my car. At first I was excited with a fair quote to tow my car 2.5 miles for $80 when I called last night. They told me they will be there at 10am and to please be there with the key. My ex husband gets there at 9:45am and waits until 10:05am to check on the timing of the tow truck. They put me on hold for 5 mins, then transfer me, then get told the original quote was the wrong price and instead will be $125... I explain how that's not fair to change things at the last second and was just calling to check how much longer just so I am aware if I can get food if going to be a long time and am getting told they won't get there until 11am and is only if I am ok with the higher price. Get put on hold a few more minutes and then told we'll it's actually supposed to be $140 but they are going to do it for $125 to be as if I feel like I got a discount when is already over 50% higher than original quote. End up having my hands tied and agree to the increase and am promised they will be there before 11am. At 11:06am I call again to check how much longer and emphasize I have an 8 year old son and a puppy in the car, to please be honest and let me know how much longer since I felt lied to multiple times already. They told me 30 more minutes due to traffic. It's Sunday and not a lot of traffic so doesn't make any sense.... End up calling back 30 more minutes later since hasn't arrived and ask for an update, get put on hold and get told will be another 30 minutes. At that time I ask them to cancel since are so far off the truth and already almost 2 hours late on a Sunday with low traffic. Ended up cancelling my credit card so they wouldn't falsely charge my card like I end led up reading has happened to other people in their yelp reviews. 2 hours late the tow truck by another company that B.B tow must have farmed things out to shows up. My ex husband uses his credit card and moves forward with the tow with a nice guy from a completely different company.. they tell him they didn't get dispatched until 45 minutes earlier. So sounds like B.B tow just completely dropped the ball or they got greedy and took another call that made them extra money. Either way major headaches and poor son and puppy starving in the car waiting because lack of honesty. Be honest, if going to be 1-2 hours then people plan for that. When people aren't given a window, then promised 30 minutes, then again in 30 minutes, and a third time again 30 minutes is a absolute joke and completely disrespectful. Any icing on the cake is the price increase after they are already late for the time agreed pick up. All I can say is wow I have literally never been so disappointed in my life. Manny is the name of the guy who lied multiple times and I hope he learns from this but doubt it unfortunately.

I called this company around 6pm because my son got stuck in a ditch and needed his car pulled out. Junior answered and was super pleasant and was able to give me an estimated time of arrival as well as cost over the phone. When he arrived, he assessed the situation with professionalism and friendliness and had us out in no time. I will definitely use him again if I ever need to and highly recommend him to anyone finding themselves in a situation where they need a tow.

Here's our unpleasant experience with a tow truck driver (CA 11701V2 is the license plate number) arranged through your roadside assistance service on January 9, 2025. While we greatly appreciate the reliability of AAA’s services, this particular incident was disappointing and not reflective of the professionalism we have come to expect. Here is an account of what happened: • After our car was towed, we asked the driver if there were any documents we needed to sign. His response was dismissive, saying, “What documents you want?” • When we double-checked if he knew the destination, he replied, “Isn’t it the America’s Tire you told me? If you feel uncomfortable, I can put down your car right now,” which felt unnecessarily confrontational. • Before driving our car onto the ramp, he sat in the driver’s seat for over 10 minutes, talking on the phone and doing nothing. When we arrived just two minutes later than him, he yelled at us instead of handling the situation professionally. This experience left us feeling disrespected and frustrated. Clear communication, professionalism, and courteous service are essential, especially in stressful roadside situations. We believe such behavior is not in line with AAA’s standards of service.

Horrible service. They just cancelled on me after waiting for more than an hour. They said that San Jose have traffic at 2 in the afternoon. I live there. You guys had me waited for 75 minutes just to tell me that it’s going to take another 45 min and cancel to another provider that takes 1 hour? How does that even make sense? You should’ve let the other provider in first place not make your customer wait for two hours
Came here to post bad review for company accepting and never showing up after Geico dispatched them. I should have known it was doomed from the start when someone posted yesterday about having the same situation. UNITED TOWING SERVICE OF SOUTHBAY LLC lied to me about traffic being bad. I checked google maps, zero traffic. They told me it would be another 30-40 min after my initial 90min waiting period. Still no one came. They lied to Gieco and said there was a really bad accident, possible fatalities and police had shutdown the highway. Google maps said it was only a 30 min drive from Santa Clara to Palo Alto. What kind of scummy company lies about fatalities to keep tow jobs? Oh, they also ignored my request for 2 passengers and accepted the job anyway. They told me to uber back. What a joke.

I was frustrated at my car situation and called this place. The manager Jorge really helped me out. The dispatcher is super nice as well. A lot of haters on here y'all need to be nicer to them. Imagine talking to angry and frustrated people all day for a job.

Friendly people, easy to work with.
On October 28, 2023 F & M illegally towed my vehicle. The answering system doesn't have lots of information on why and refers to call on Monday during business hours. After 6 hours of calling and getting Campbell PD and San Jose PD involved with property manager and business owner, F & M still wasn't listening. Rate 0/10 for a person who was legally parked with permission from business owners. In addition the owner of the parking lot confirmed they didn't approve a tow

I've called multiple times to have vehicles removed from property and each and every time have had negative results multiple no shows ! Advise to use another towing company , stay away from F&M 👎

Went out of their way to drop my car off to get serviced when we were out of town. We are so appreciative of their help!
Came here because my mom's car was stolen, found and brought here. I have never been spoken to as rudely as I was here. Her car was not on the premises for even 24 hours but they still charged her for 2 days of storage. The staff were incredibly unorganized and slow. Steer clear if you have a choice. We didn't.

What a farce this place is. I call and ask to make an appointment for a December 28th tow. They refuse with some blulsiht excuse that they only take cash/credit card IN PERSON and COMPLETELY REFUSED to tow me because they can not take payment over the phone. As far as I been reading they tow many cars w/o payment. The city council should look up what Anchorage Alaska did to "rein in " tow fees. This is going to official state complaint with damages.
Very friendly and easy to get your car out of impound with all your paperwork. Got car out in less than half hour. Took longer to pay impound fee downtown San Jose than to take car out.
This place is the last place you actually want to visit. They have horrible customer service,it stinks like old sweat and they have the worst attitude. Never will deal with this people again.

Hazardous drivers that are extremely rude.
A business is as good as its owner, which is what makes JF towing exceptional. Juan has always taken great care of my cars, both during tows as well as storage. Don’t go with a big name/ small service company, go with JF towing for sure.

My insurance company contacted them since my keys were locked in my car. They estimated an hour wait. Two hours later I called their hotline and they told me another 35 minutes. They were rude and dismissive during the call as well. Another hour later no update at all. It's one thing to be busy, it's another to blatantly lie to customers about wait times by a factor of multiple hours. They did eventually get there and the guy who unlocked my car, George, was very apologetic and pleasant. I'll bring it up to two stars for that.
Literally trash. I called my insurance for roadside assistance for an unlock for my girlfriend and I and was initially quoted 90 minutes which is pretty high to begin with. After waiting 90 minutes, I called for another ETA and was given another 40 minutes. The third time I called back they wanted to give us another 25 minute ETA and after that I expressed our frustration. They had the audacity to tell us that if we're not able to wait the quoted amount of time then we should call another tow company. So we did. I requested a refund through my insurance and they called another company to help us out after 3 hours in the cold. If you can help it, request A.W. Roadside Service from your insurance provider. They were out there in 25 minutes and getting our door unlocked within 5.
My insurance company designated this company for my road side assistance. I spent two hours in my car before I decided to give a call to see what was taking so long. The guy on the phone said "you didn't answer your phone so we went on doing other jobs". Are you kidding me?! For one my phone is legit dead and I'm over here trying to reserve my battery by keeping it off. The company already has the address I am at and where I am going, so I don't see what the problem is? Why would I request a service if I didn't need you to come? And what if someone was stranded in the middle of no where with no reception or a dead phone, you guys are going to go about doing other jobs in a state of emergency? I'm currently waiting for my tow truck still, total of three hours combined. Good job guys for taking care of your customers and making them feel safe. This is not a reliable company.

With utmost precision and efficiency, Johnny safely loaded my car onto their tow truck. They paid meticulous attention to every detail, ensuring the car was secure before we proceeded to the designated tire shop. State farm assigned this company for towing my car. Currently I’ve been waiting in my car for 2.5h, and every time I called them, they always said 30-45 mins. Will change insurance company for sure. Update: took me 3 hours before the truck came. The driver was nice. Two star for him.

They are so so rude! I was just asking questions such as invoice for the towing, and the employee was so rude! The owner or the manager came and started raising his voice, charged towards me as if to physically hit me. I wish there was some sense of decency.
Stay away from any apartment that contracts with these guys. Shame on Essex and Waterford Apartment who gives these guys full control over the lots. Its my spot, and they took my car at 2am. Legal scam right here.
UNETHICAL business! this spot just towed my aunts car and it was $530! It was parked at target and she was in and out of that place in under 15 mins before realizing her car was gone. Her handicap sign had expired a few days ago and she had read her expiration date wrong. The fact that she was in and out for only a few minutes and have her car gone and towed is insane, it's like the towing place drives around looking for people's car that they can tow so that they can profit-- the amount charged was just ROBBERY and not justified. They charged her for the tow fee $270, storage fee $125, and the after hour fee $135 which added up to $530.That is crazy! this place will charge anything and everything. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL, no business should be able to charge that much and should be AUDITED and checked. Horrible business practice and greedy.
They towed my car before the 90-minute mark, even though I was on my way to move it. I woke up at 9:13 AM, knowing I had until 9:30 since the sign says towing begins at 8:00 AM and allows 90 minutes. I walked a long way to get to the car, and by the time I arrived—around 9:19—it was already gone. This isn’t right. I park there regularly because there’s no overnight parking available in the resident lot. No warning. No grace period. Not even 15 minutes after the 90-minute start time, and they had already taken it. My brother confronted them and asked why they towed early, and the employee literally walked away without answering. They ignored the posted rules AND our questions. Now we’re being charged almost $400 for something that wasn’t even our fault. This is the SECOND time this has happened to us. It feels like they’re just out to take people's money without following their own posted rules. I even have video proof with the date and time clearly showing they towed before the allowed 90-minute window. What happens if someone is walking from far away to move their car? Do they not care? PLEASE SHARE this. They need to be held accountable. This isn’t just frustrating — it’s dishonest.
They towed my car from my parking spot at the apartment twice in a month. Looks like they learned an easy way to earn money as my car is lightweight on 1st floor and also close to the exit. Nearly $1000 in a month. It is stupid.

I parked in the Safeway parking lot at 2605 The Alameda (near Santa Clara University) around 5 PM on a Tuesday. I had dinner at the Taco Bell in the same lot for about 30 minutes, then shopped at Safeway for another 30 minutes. When I came out, my car had been towed by Morris & Sons Towing. The towing company claimed I was parked for over an hour, but there are no signs anywhere in the lot stating a 1-hour parking limit. I have receipts from both Taco Bell and Safeway proving I was a customer and well within a reasonable time limit. Despite this, I was forced to pay nearly $600 to recover my vehicle. When I asked Morris & Sons staff to provide evidence or photos justifying the tow, they refused. I later submitted a complaint, only to receive a generic denial stating, "We have followed all policies and procedures... Your claim is denied. There will be no further correspondence." This experience felt like a predatory practice—targeting legitimate customers with no clear signage and no accountability. If any attorney sees this and is pursuing similar cases, I would appreciate being contacted. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated in our community.
Incident Date: November 3rd, 2024 I had an extremely distressing experience I had after my vehicle was towed from the Safeway near Santa Clara University at around 10 PM. Upon discovering my car had been towed, I inquired with nearby individuals and was informed of the towing company’s name. I called the company, and the person on the phone provided me with the address to retrieve my vehicle. When I arrived at the location, the same individual rudely asked if I was the person who had hung up on him earlier. He proceeded to speak to me in a highly disrespectful and demeaning manner. My wallet, which was in my car, was needed for verification purposes. He allowed me access through a small pedestrian gate to retrieve my wallet and then demanded $530 to release the vehicle. This amount included a $135 storage fee, even though the vehicle had only been there for less than 30 minutes, and a $125 gate fee because I had arrived after normal business hours. When I pointed out that since I was already being charged for a full day of storage, I could simply return the next morning to avoid the additional $125 gate fee, he responded by threatening to call the police if I didn’t pay immediately. I asked him to go ahead and call the police. He then stated that even if I returned the following day, he would ensure I was charged the $125 fee because he had to open the small gate for me. He added that he was making a note in his system to justify this charge and implied that this was retaliation because I had allegedly hung up the phone on him earlier. Throughout this ordeal, the individual continued to insult me, mocking my accent and tone of voice. When I attempted to ask questions, he refused to answer and instead repeated, "How are you going to pay?" in an aggressive, endless loop. I have never experienced such blatant bias since moving to the United States, and this encounter left me deeply upset. It wasn’t just the unlawful charges that were infuriating; it was the highly biased and derogatory manner in which I was treated that caused the most emotional harm. Being manipulated and spoken to in such a demeaning way, especially when already in a vulnerable situation, is unacceptable. I strongly urge you to reconsider employing individuals who treat others in such an appalling manner. Being charged an excessive fee is already a source of frustration, but adding extremely biased behavior on top of that made this experience exponentially worse.
These guys are Predators who tow cars often without cause. Be prepared to pay $409 to get your vehicle out of their yard. Be prepared to deal with a rude, inconsiderate employee at their front counter with an attitude. Expect to wait 30-45 minutes after you get to their office and only if there is nobody in front of you. If there is a line it may be much longer. When you call to inquire how to retrieve your vehicle you get a very condescending operator who tells you to listen to the voicemail, however the voicemail only gives you the tow yard location. I asked 3 times how much to retrieve my vehicle and 3 times they transferred me to voicemail again... Listened to voicemail 6 times, still no answers to how much. Sign posted states "ask for pictures of your vehicle" yet when you ask for pictures they deny your request. Overall a shady, dishonest organization with a high lack of integrity..... Be careful, picture document everything, record your conversations with them and above all use extreme caution around Morris and Sons..... You have been warned!
I bought a new stove to my apt and parm my truck near my building for unloading the stove. I leave my truck for 10 min and these …….. stolen my car. It was so fast. He just hook up and drive. No Safty connection. My car was with apt parking permit. He saw it. He just doing money. My car was on these parking 10 min and I paid $130 for storage $85 for open gate and $290 for towing. Worst people working there.
These people are desperate and hungry for money; plus, you'll end up paying around $400 to $600 to get your car out within 24 hours. Please don't leave your vehicle unattended for too long.
