Gelmer arrived quickly to jump start my car after the battery drained in the garage. Compared to other service providers, the price is pretty high but I was in a rush and he was quick and communicative.

You guys showed up quickly and handled everything smoothly—seriously impressive in a city like this where fast service isn’t always guaranteed. Was told that the impound charges at least $300 a day in an attempt to get me to spend one to two hundred more dollars than I would have needed to retrieve my car from the impound. Upon review those charges were only $74 a day. Definitely felt like this company was trying to take advantage of me when I was in a vulnerable position. Also whoever runs this is completely unprofessional and called me several times after I left this review presumably to try and get me to remove it. Absolutely predatory. You’ll have a better customer experience literally anywhere else.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the team. My car broke down unexpectedly in Alameda, and they were there within minutes. Not only did they tow my car safely, but they also helped me find a nearby mechanic to get it fixed right away. Truly a lifesaver!
Tow truck never came after 2+ hrs and they charged me $45 for canceling. I kept calling and they kept quoting me 20-25 minutes. I first called, had a driver coming then had to reschedule for the next day because I lost access to my garage. I quickly gain access to my garage so called them back and that's when the 2+ hr wait started. I asked the phone operator to remove the charge because they never came and she said no.
Rip off! They quoted me & when they arrived they charged over $100 more than what they told me & also, i asked them prior to making the appointment if i can pay after the car is delivered & they said yes.. but when the tow guy arrived, he said pay up front & with that $100+ extra. I was making the arrangements for a family member of mine but when this place got to my family member, thats when what they told me up front completely changed😤
I recieved best roadside service from here today. I needed a jumstart for my box truck. They told me I have to wait for 30 minutes. But their guy was there in like 15 minutes. He gave me so much info about my truck that I never knew. I am so thankful for that guy because my driver had to go to work after that and I was in hurry.
We were in a minor fender bender which took out our headlight, mirror and scraped a bit of the back of our truck. Had to get towed out, but the technician was really good and got us out of there in a pinch.

They towed a bike in to our shop with the steering lock engaged and refused, yes, refused to bring it within a block of the store so we had to roll a furniture dolly down the alley and into the busy street because the driver was too lazy to drop the bike in the correct spot where every single tow driver for the last 20 years has dropped it. Just stopped in the middle of the street...Thanks for the help. You suck, nice work...
Outstanding Service! Highly recommended: very responsive and professional. I called other towing company that didn't show up. After waiting for FOUR hours I finally found C&S number. I called and explained my situation, asking for an honest answer how fast they could come. Cesar assured me that within 15 min and that was true. Alejandro came by, put my car on the bed and drove it to my garage. I was done within less than 45 min and I couldn't be more thankful for all the help. Thanks again guys!

I would strongly advise against using this towing company. They required upfront payment via Zelle, then failed to deliver on their promises. I was told my tow would arrive within 30–60 minutes, yet two hours passed with no update. When I called back requesting a refund, I was told that if the driver did not arrive within 30 minutes I could receive one — even confirmed by a supervisor. The driver never arrived in that time frame. Instead, he called at the 30-minute mark to say he had just been assigned and needed another 30 minutes. When I again requested at least a partial refund, I was told the service was “already in progress” and was flatly denied, then hung up on. This experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for the customer’s time. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
I was stuck in Golden gate park for 2 hours and they said they will come by to tow the car in 20 mins. I ended up getting a citation because the car was parked inside the park. Extremely bad experience and would not recommend to anyone

Lifesavers. We waited nearly 5-hours for AAA to try to figure out how to get a car out of the 5th and Mission garage which has low overhead clearance. They never sorted it out. Called B&A, they immediately knew the situation in the garage and within 10-minutes arranged for a truck which arrived in the specified 30-40 minute window. The driver was a total pro too, amazing to see him in action in the tight confines of the garage. Thank you!

I had a fantastic experience. After the expected waiting time, the shining state-of-the-art truck arrived. The driver was courteous and super-professional. Since my car had to be transported from downtown San Francisco to my mechanic in Mountain View, I entrusted my car to him without hesitation. Once he arrived he sent me a message with a photo to put my mind at ease regarding my buddy (my Porsche 911).
I can’t believe I’m reviewing a towing company paid for by my insurance company but here I am. Story: my Audi was parked on the street and hit by a hit and run driver, and the collision was so severe that the entire left front wheel suspension was destroyed. The wheel was about to come off and the axle was already unbalanced. My insurance contracted out to Atlas towing, and I informed them that my car was inoperable and couldn’t drive without further without damaging the suspension and axle. They sent a flatbed. The operator was probably the rudest individual I’ve ever talked to, and he proceeded to park his flat bed about 30ft away BEHIND my car. Then he asked to get the car on the flatbed by making a U turn and driving it up the flatbed. I told him this was not a good idea and maybe he should come closer, maybe right up to my car from the front, and then slowly drive it up the flatbed instead of trying to drive it via a U turn and down the street. He refused and told me he’d been doing this for 20+ years. I then said okay and began recording with my phone (to record if any further damage would be done) as he proceeded to slowly drive the vehicle out of its parking space. When he saw me recording, he then stopped the car IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, BLOCKING TRAFFIC AND A DRIVEWAY, got out, and said “I’ll tell them you didn’t want me to drive the vehicle any further.” So he knows I don’t want to drive the car any distance and proceeds to drive it into the middle of the road, stops it, and leaves it there for me to take care of? Incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. I told him I’m recording in case any further damage would occur and he kept cutting me off, saying “you don’t want me to drive the car I won’t drive the car”. I then said I defer to his expertise and to please do what he thinks is best and he simply keeps repeating “I’ll tell them you didn’t want me to drive the vehicle any further” without actually replying to my requests. At this point I had spent around 30-45 minutes with him. I told him if he wasn’t going to help me to get the hell out of there, and my insurance company (which handled everything amazingly) sent a different tow company (Nelson’s Tow) with no hassles. They drove the flatbed right up to the front of my car, slowly drove my car up the flatbed, secured it, and drove away in ten minutes. Save the hassle, skip Atlas towing and go to Nelson’s Tow.
After getting rear-ended on the freeway this week, the CHP called for a tow and I was lucky enough to get Atlas. The tow driver, Oscar, was kind and helpful. He even suggested a safer spot for me to wait for a Lyft to take me home. Later, when I needed to retrieve my garage door opener from my car, Annie at the yard was fabulous. She even helped me coordinate with the auto body shop that is handling the repair. I really appreciate the care they both took with me during an otherwise unpleasant experience.
Some of the nicest people you can interact with on a day when everything goes wrong. I was able to call them and the dispatcher helped me redirect my car and talk me through the process. We the tow driver arrived he was so nice and friendly. He explained what he was doing and then drove me to TWO different mechanics. Super nice and really helpful pointing out good places to visit in the city for fixing your car.
Lazy and unwilling to tow our car past 10 PM even though Geico directed us to them. Said they would not tow our car without a key, and that other towing companies wouldn’t either. Requested another towing company through Geico who had no problem towing us. Atlas was unprofessional and had no empathy. Do not use their service.

I would have given this company a 2 stars but our experience quickly changed for the better. Daniel from AutoTowing is the best man for the job and the best man at the company. Our car broke down on the Bay Bridge and we had to get pushed off into Oakland and we were told to wait 15 min for a tow truck. We waited almost two hours (at 2 in the morning) for a truck to come and we received a call saying they wouldn’t be able to get to us. Once we got home we got a call from Daniel (who was supposed to be enjoying his day off, but unfortunately his boss made him clock in to help us) and he towed our car all the way back to San Francisco quickly and safely. This man went above and beyond his duties and should be rightfully praised through a raise, promotion, or paid days off. We appreciate Daniel so much for helping us and he is the best man for the job!
Honestly this is the worst auto service I’ve had to deal with. After telling me they will be here in 1 hour, no one showed up. The numbers to call ceased to answer. I waited 2 more hours… and nothing. Finally got on the phone with them, and got insulted by the lady on the phone. Truly the worst I could have imagined. Try to avoid that at all cost, any other towing company would have done better
Last night I was towed by Oscar, this driver was speedy in his arrival, truck was very clean and he was very friendly. After a very tramatic accident, I was extremely relieved that this driver and his willingness to help me figure out what to do, with his very friendly advise, in a moment where I could not think clearly, he went out of his way to make the experience above and beyond for me and my kids, I highly recommend this driver.
They are dishonest. I suggest to avoid this business if possible. I was involved in a collision in San Francisco, and they showed up to tow the other vehicle involved in the accident. They offered their services to us and gave my husband a quote of $275 to tow our car to an auto body repair shop that my husband had selected 0.4 miles away. Unfortunately, we did not go with them or think to call the auto body shop to notify them of the quoted price, as we were busy talking to the police/insurance on the phone. When we got to the auto body shop maybe 30 minutes later, we found out they had charged the owner $330, which the owner had paid before we arrived and the cost was passed onto us. In the end, $55 isn't going to break us, but this is really unprofessional behavior. My husband has tried contacting them. If this doesn't work out, we plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Posted this same review on Yelp.

My fees were supposed to be waived entirely due to my car being stolen and recovered by police but the guy running the seedy yard under the freeway first told us that we had to back out of the place because we were being seen on camera then upon asking for the paperwork so that we can collect the car and go he simply gave us a rediculous number saying that’s what is owed, he never gave us a copy or anything and didn’t allow us to grab anything out of the car, and to make matters worse our car looks as if it’s been tampered with there’s no emblem on the grill and the grill it’s self has been pushed in as is someone was in the middle of stripping it and wasn’t expecting to get caught. I was assured that the car was in perfect condition when it was towed and now parts are missing can someone explain what the hell kind of business is this

Never ever have I had issues with this company. Everyone there from the folks in the office to the drivers are always so nice and courtesy. We've used them several times and will continue to. Thanks guys for being a great tow company, unfortunately there aren't many out there.
I had my car delivered from Indiana to California. Craig was incredibly informative and helpful with answering my questions. Quinn worked on my car transport in a timely manner and communicated with me through email consistently. My truck driver arrived on time at the pickup site and delivered earlier than I expected. I would highly recommend Auto Express Towing & Recovery for anyone looking for car transport services and would certainly use the services again in the future.

0 stars. These people illegally towed my car from a spot without signage that it was a tow away zone. Photos and videos prove there’s no signs. Still attempted to charge $750 to return the vehicle. Eventually talked them down to $420??? Police suggested small claims court. These people are criminals and should not be in business.
This company do tows much cheaper than either around 80 for a tow from down town to Daly city not bad at all.

Nice company, honest people. Car got towed for a silly reason but the front office person was a huge help and very kind. Much appreciated!
These people and institution are the worst people ever they want to take more money we called them and asked the car they told no we don’t have because they want to make the time late to charge more hourly rate and couple mins later our building called them they open the call and told yes the car we have they are lying to charge more before 5pm the did not open the call and wait to make the time after 5 pm and charge $200 more thief people
I contacted them through my insurance company and all the costs were covered. They scheduled a towing service but wanted me to pay for it even tho my insurance is covering the costs. Insurance company contacted them and they immediately cancelled the service due to their truck broken down. They are master of scamming and extra pricing. NEVER USE THEM
Lady on the phone was very nice , she said someone would be there to help us in 45 minutes but they arrived in less! Which we greatly appreciated! The towing man was very nice and professional he even parked the car the way we wanted which we recognize took a few more minutes but he didn’t seem to mind. I have roadside assistance through my insurance company, GEICO. It took GEICO 5 times to get it right! They should have called Golden Gate Tow first! Milton was able to hook up and pull my car out safely, quickly and without hesitation from my apartment building garage area. Next time I'm not going to give GEICO 4 chances, Golden Gate Tow will be who I tell them to call! Right guy, right truck, job well done!

My car had a radiator leak and needed to be towed from Oakland to San Francisco. A guy named Frank helped me out in no time and dropped my friends and I off where we needed which is pretty typical. But this man went above and beyond and didn't even charge me for the bridge toll. What a guy, if you are in need of towing, give Specialty towing a call, look for a man named Frank if you can! Excellent service!
