Great service, even though AAA didn't cover all of the fee, I was happy that they were able to come when others weren't. I needed some help getting my RV unstuck and they came to the rescue.
This is the best towing service in Escondido. Guy said he was gonna be here in 40 minutes you ended up getting to me in 30 minutes. 100% recommended you will not find a better tow service. The prices are the best in the Best in San Diego
By far the easiest and least expensive towing experience yet. When my car died on the freeway (scary!!), the first two companies told me they couldn't have anybody to me for 2-3 hours. The third company I called quoted me over $200!?! Finally I found Oscars and they had me off the freeway with my car in tow within 30 minutes for a very reasonable price. The tow truck driver Jose was very courteous and professional. Really means a lot to me. THANK YOU
Very fast service, quoted a low price over the phone, quickly and safely loaded the car. Only reason for 2 stars is they jacked up the price after getting to my home, that's dirty business
Much appreciation to Oscar Towing for fast, efficient service when my daughter broke down on the Valley Center grade. They arrived in about 20 minutes, and had the car hooked up and on the way home in a matter of minutes. Very professional and friendly driver. I will be keeping their number in my phone, and recommending them to my friends.

Very personable and professional. Eric Avik took care of me and even help me push my car into my driveway. I will use them from now on.
Well, nobody likes to get their car towed. It's typically a frustrating interaction when you go to pick up your car. Recently my car was towed by Al's Towing and I have to say they were very pleasant and professional. I had a moment of snarkiness and Hector turned it right around and at the end we were having pleasant conversation. My circumstances for towing were actually kind of funny, and I happened to be a board member in the community from which my car was towed. Once the towing company figured that out, they proceeded to show me what steps they take to partner with communities in a very professional and discreet manner. Of course I knew who authorized the towing of my car, but under normal circumstances they protect the identity of the person making the request. I would recommend them for any community looking to partner with the towing company for parking issues.
Had a painless experience with Al’s. Came out to tow my car pretty quickly and more importantly, and the guy was nice and careful with the car. Would highly recommend.
So I came to them after having my vehicle towed there by Esco PD. So I knew there were things I needed, as I was told, to be able to get in my car. Today I show up, not changing my story, from over the weekend on what's goin on. I really and totally understand they have a job to do. But they were very judgemental and condescending. I needed a photo id to get access to the car. My photo id or anything with my photo is in THE CAR. They were nice enough to go "look' but couldn't find it. They asked, even over the phone, when it was towed why wouldn't you have grabbed that stuff? Or asked it's your car why wouldn't you know where your stuff is? I wasn't present when my car got towed. Like I have explained all weekend when I called and said the same thing over and over. Just made me feel very judged and belittled.
This time was fine. Parking is terrible and the patio covering was leaking on me while standing at the window to talk to the guy. That wasn't the best. Rating for three leaking patio and past several experiences with them were less than ideal.

Tow Truck driver Gary from Jonathans towing saved me and my daughter today. He is indeed a car whisperer. Amazing!! 100% great guy. Im so glad you guys have such a great guy on your team. Give him a bonus!!!
A scammer and a liar: 5 lies in 10 minutes After being out of town for three weeks, I came home to a dead battery in my 2024 Accord. I called AAA for a jump start, and Jonathan’s towing came out to my house. He tested the battery and said it was beyond saving, and offered to sell me one of his batteries. When I said my car was still under warranty and I would have Honda replace it, he told me batteries are not covered under new car warranties. In that case I said I would drive my car to Walmart and check the warranty while my car idled in the parking lot. If it was not covered, I would buy a new battery from Walmart. He then said Walmart would sell me a new battery, but not install it. When I said to jumpstart my car and I would work out the details later, he once again tried to sell me one of his batteries. He then hooked up some cables to the car, and “tried” to start it, but said the battery was so far gone it could not even be jump started. I then asked to be towed to the dealership, but he said AAA did not allow towing for just a dead battery so my only real option was purchasing his battery. I sent him on his way and called AAA again. 1. AAA said of course they would tow a car if need be. 2. They sent out a new company who easily jump started the car. 3. I drove it to the dealership who confirmed that if the battery was ruined, they would replace it at no charge. 4.They did a complete test on the battery and it passed with flying colors. It has been driving great since then. 5. And of course, yes, Walmart would have installed the battery if I had needed it.
I must say that I don't know if this is the case for all drivers/staff at Johnathan's, but I just had an absolutely exceptional interaction with their driver Baker. Please, allow me to paint you a picture of how the interaction went. I have dealt with a lot of tow drivers over the years for a variety of reasons, and usually get a vibe of "super shady", even on AAA tows/lockouts/etc. When I asked my friends if they knew what I meant by that, there was a unanimous "yes", so I'm imagining you might have the same frame of reference as you read this review. Suffice to say, my experience has set the bar for my expectations somewhere James Cameron couldn't find it (yes, that's a nod to South Park). When my VERY autistic roommate's and extended family member's car broke down 3/4ths of a mile from our house just before midnight (very late for both of us), AAA assigned a local company who ended up being unable to furnish a driver after an hour, so the call was reassigned to Johnathan's, who sent Baker. As the driver approached, I was preparing my roommate to allow me to handle the social interaction because of the aforementioned shadiness. Baker quickly did everything he could to prove me wrong. My roommate is photosensitive, so the bright flashing lights were immediately a problem. He stopped what he was doing and turned them off (it was quite safe for him to do so) after my roommate said "those lights are very bright", without needing to ask him directly. He continued to be courteous and professional throughout the interaction, and acted with a sense of urgency without sacrificing safety or quality. I showed him what was wrong with the car, and he went above and beyond to make sure the car got on and off the flatbed quickly, and without suffering further damage. He was extremely attentive, kind, and displayed a genuine care for both my roommate and me as fellow human beings, without any of the "I'd rather be anywhere else than helping you" attitude I've become so accustomed to in his industry. Baker earned a lot of praise and respect from my roommate, and from me, for how he carried himself, and for the kind of person he showed himself to be at his core throughout this interaction. The world needs more people like him in it, and Johnathan's would do well to make sure they never lose him as an employee as long as they can help it. With the most sincere of gratitude I can possibly muster over the dryness of an Internet text box, THANK YOU BAKER!
Damaged my vehicle, rude, unprofessional and unsafe tow driver. EDIT: I called the day of the tow, pictures were taken by your tow driver and I sent pics to a number provided by your dispatcher. I heard NOTHING, called back after several weeks, and your rude dispatcher demanded pictures again, after I told him they already have pics and not sending them again told me to "F--- OFF" and hung up on me. Your company has zero desire to "make this right".
Aisar was kind, professional, and an expert in his field. He quickly picked up my Hyundai Elantra and I was very impressed in how well he assisted me. Thank you for your service, Aisar!

4 Step are actually very affordable. The flatbed tow service ain't bad either!
Dont call these guys they bait and switched are quote for a car tow. Triple AAA has better prices. I called them asking for a quote they charged me 180 and so i said nevermind. They then said how much are u will to pay and i said hundred. I agreed they towed my car to the closes mechanic shop and then said it would be 180. Clear bait and switch. I called back and they acted clueless, worst tow service.
Amazing customer service! They arrived on time, they were polite and were very helpful. I would recommend 4 step to anyone in need!
An exceptionally good attitude and fair rates… 4 Step's good at RV towing!
MADE ME PREPAY THEN ARRIVED 4 HOURS AFTER THEIR SCHEUDLED TIME. Disappointing service - They will just keep saying 45 minutes then you have to hope they arrive. I hire tow trucks on a weekly basis and 4 Step Towing was one of the worst at communication and follow through. I asked for assistance at 2:00PM. They told me they were 45 minutes out to assist. Two hours later I called and they said 45 more minutes. 45 more minutes later I called and they said 45 more minutes. Another 45 minutes went by and they said another 45 minutes when I called. 4 hours later they finally arrived and that is only because I said they close at 6:00PM. They still arrived after 6:00PM for a 2:00PM assistance call that they said no problem they were going to be right out in 45 minutes.

Terrible service! Company was assigned through my AAA tow request and the driver never showed up! Called me twice to tell me he was “almost there” then when I called the auto shop to see if he ever came to get my car they advised no one ever came. Called the dispatch office and spoke to the “owner” whose service was even worse! They are not reliable and do not communicate at all. I would rather push my car for 10 miles than let this company pick up my car.
My mom had to get towed for 200 miles and Diana towed her back, and was the only driver that would help her get home. 200 miles is a far drive to be in a truck with a male and my mom was glad Diana who is a female driver was the person that took her home. She felt safe with Diana driving and very comfortable. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone needing a tow, very polite and great person.
The dispatcher Tina took care of us. She saw the pictures from AAA that 2 other tow truck companies couldn't do because the car was too low to the ground. She gave me a call, said her drivers could get it done. Eric (Tow driver) came & got it done with no problem. Have to give respect where respect is due. Thanks
This is by far the worst service out there. My wife and I called at 8 pm and they told us 30 mins so waited until 11pm and when I called again the front desk person sounded like he was just waking up from a nap. At midnight we ended up canceling the service because they kept telling us 30 mins but nothing. If you are assigned by your insurance company with this towing company cancel and try another towing company unless you wanna wait more than 4 hours.
Great service and awesome 50+ mile tow experience. While I have some issues with AAA, the service contracted out to Crossroadz was great. The truck was in great shape, and the driver was extremely friendly. I'm happy that they were assigned the job and took it on.

The manager Sonny showed great service when one of his drivers messed up and overcharged me. He gave me a full refund no hassles. Greatly appreciated
I received a car in storage full of dirt. He not only replaced the battery, but checked all the wires, etc. I am so very impressed with his concern that I understand how to look for each important thing I must take care of for maintenance. His concern is invaluable. His name is Hashim Soraj... what a compassionate soul.
Our 1995 Ford F350 batteries were dead. AAA sent Quality Towing and he brought two diesel batteries, installed them, cleaned everything up, took the old batteries and all is well! Great job!
AAA assigned this company to pick up my son’s car on a Friday night at 8:45. The ETA on AAA’s chatbot was 9:59. The tow didn’t arrive until 11:15 pm. I do not fault the driver who had an accident occur in front of him on the freeway on his way to my son. I fault the dispatcher who showed no compassion, never updated my son who was sitting on the side of the freeway for 2 hours, nor gave any attempt at a reasonable estimate the two times I called for information. The third time I called, he put me on an endless hold. I am an understanding person, but he was uncaring and dismissive in his attitude toward me and my son, who was sitting on the side of the freeway for over two hours late at night!!
I had a positive experience w/ Quality Towing in Escondido. I got them through calling AAA and I was nervous because of a lot of these bad reviews but I had friendly and solid service both from the operator and the gentleman, Humberto, I believe, who came to help me. The wait was 3 hrs but it was a Saturday and the operator said they were busy and was apologetic about it, so, not holding that against them.

got our car towed from our apartment complex even though we parked in a visitor spot. took our car on a saturday night and were closed on sunday, so of course they charged us an extra day for keeping the car… freaking stupid. once we call to pick up our we have to make an appointment?? when we show up to pick up the car, no one is there, and the driver took over ten minutes to arrive. once the driver arrived, it was a whole fiasco to get the car. literally took over an hour of our damn time. ASAP stands for taking your money as soon as possible, but not to help you out. shady freaking company man.
I'd give 0 stars if I could. Needed to have my car towed after it was vandalized. First of all, I was sent a text with an ETA and was told my someone at the residence that the person showed up an hour early, not a bad thing, however, the tow truck driver did not wait for me to give him keys or sign any paperwork before taking my vehicle. I passed him on the street and waved him down. He stopped and I said it was my car. I asked if he needed keys or for me to sign anything and he said he didn't need keys but gave me something to sign. I asked if I could take some things out of the car and he said yes but I felt very rushed. Fast forward to the next day, I show up to the collision center and it turns out he just dropped off my car and left, never left them with the paperwork I signed and did not properly check in my car. Therefore, they had no idea who the owner was and obviously couldn't even move the car or inspect it because they didn't have keys. Absolutely ridiculous.
The person that helped me was very kind and had a solution every step of the way. HIGHLY recommend ASAP towing to anyone who needs an affordable & gentle towing!! I can’t remember the persons name but thank you so much for taking care of my ride! 😄
Absolutely terrible. The driver took 2 hours just to get my truck up in his flat-bed. Then, another 4 hours to get it from San Diego to Escondido. The driver was extremely difficult to communicate with due to his level of intelligence and inability to speak English or Spanish. Go somewhere else for towing if you can help it.
The best towing company ever. Very reliable and on time. Driver was friendly and got my vehicle to it's destination no problem. I highly recommend asap towing for all towing and road service needs.

This is the epitome of adding fuel to fire. Every time you call to check their ETA, they add another hour to your wait time! You know that isn’t what you want to hear when your car has an issue severe enough to be towed. They said they’ll be here at 2 pm and now it’s estimated to be past 5 before they arrive. And if you don’t call to see they don’t bother to reach out to your first. The operator has no clue what’s going on, like a lost puppy. I hope they get training because I’m positive a large number of people calling are more knowledgeable than the staff they have. Lady on the phone said it was call volume, but that should only be referred to the time on hold on the phone, not the inaccurate wait time for the actual service itself. That is simply bad expectation management. How bad is your internal operations to know that your trucks can’t come in an hour, let alone 4, but not relay that info to the client? Garbage...
I called for roadside assistance. My car wouldn't start and I needed a jump. They sent Roadway Towing. When the driver arrived he tried several times to jump my battery but it wouldn't start. He said I needed a new battery. He said he would sell me one for $300 with a 24 month warranty. I told him I wasn't paying $300 for a battery. Then he brought the price down to $250. I still refused. I knew I could get a battery for less. He thought he could cheat me and over charge me because I'm a woman and probably don't know anything about cars. I googled the battery he was trying to sell me it was an Interstate battery. It was $185. Just to show you guys how much he was trying to rip me off! He continued to bring the price down until he got to $190. I agreed to purchase the battery for that price. When he gave me the receipt, the warranty said 18 months. Not the 24 months he promised. When I brought that to his attention, he grew quiet and said nothing. Fast forward 7 months later. My car wouldn't start! The battery was only 7 months old and should still be good. I called Roadway, my battery was still under warranty. They came out and jumped me. The driver told me he could give me another battery because I was under warranty. He said it would cost $120! I asked why I would have to pay that. He said it was for installation! I told him I wasn't paying that. I shouldn't have to pay anything, my warranty is still good! I can install my own battery, it's not that hard! I continued to need jumps every couple days and it was clear to me, the battery I purchased was defective. A new battery should last several years, not a few months. I wound up going to Walmart for another battery. It was $139 with a 24 month warranty and they installed it for free. $150 total with tax and everything. Long story short: DONT BUY A BATTERY FROM ROADWAY TOWING. They sell defective batteries!
My insurance company used Agero and they referred me to this company. Roadway towing was very unprofessional. I waited at least 6 hours to get my car towed 18 miles. Every time I called to get an update, they would say someone would be there in 35, 45, or 1 hour. The employees didn't have any idea when someone would be available. In the meantime, I was stuck at the same location waiting. On top of that, they delivered my car to the wrong location. I called back to let them know they made a mistake. Next, I asked them to transport my car to the right location which was about 10 miles away, they said I would have to go through my insurance again. In other words, they wanted me to pay again for their services although they towed my car to the wrong location. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They have a lack of customer service skills and they do not value customer satisfaction. They need to either close permanently or hire competent employees. My rating is a 0.
This review is in no way directed to the tow truck drivers who do their job well every day! But if I could give that impound yard less than 1 star, I would. My daughter's car was stolen and when found, it was towed and impounded at this dumpster of a place in Escondido. Apparently, at this place their standard procedure for any question is "I don't know" They communicate NOTHING of what you need to do to get your car out of that place and treated us as if we were the thieves ourselves. I was tight on time for work, and it took literally 3 hours for us to be able to find out whether the car was drivable or not. It was completely gutted inside, and they had gone to the car 3 times looking for papers, yet they refused to tell us the car was not drivable, "They don't know!" The steering wheel, ignition, dash wires everything inside was destroyed and you didn't even need to get in the car to see that. I could've called the tow truck an hour earlier and made it to work, but "they don't know." When I demanded an answer as to why we were not being helped and given information the woman got rude causing my daughter to have a meltdown after all the stress and anxiety she had already been through. I am well aware that in the situation they received a copy of a CHP180 form, so yes, they knew! I have presented a complaint with the Sheriff's department to not use this dumpster of a place anymore since "they don't know!" and they most certainly DON'T CARE!
I’d give this place zero stars if I could. I think we all would. My daughter was in a terrible accident an they have a contract with CHP. unfortunately when you get into an accident and ride in an ambulance, they call these greedy people. Went there to get her belongings out of the car and was quoted $1400 to get the car out. It was 4:45 on Friday, I mean some people actually work. I asked if I could pay that and recover the car on Monday. NOPE! They’d demand more and aren’t open on weekends. Then you see all their brand new shiny vehicles lined up and can’t help but now know how. I only believe they’ll get theirs one day. Profit over people is a horrible business model. It’ll happen Frank.
