This company is incredibly unprofessional. Not only did they tow my car from an unmarked lot and charge me an exorbitant $600 fee, but the staff was also completely out of line. The girl at the front desk was actively vaping while helping customers, showing a total disregard for professionalism and basic health standards. The driver, Jesse, was especially rude, speaking to me in a disrespectful and condescending manner. This company lacks integrity and respect for its customers.
My recent encounter with Southside Towing following a stressful car accident was an ordeal that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Initially, their drivers assured me that the towing service would be covered under my AAA membership, a key factor in my decision to trust them with my vehicle. This assurance was the sole reason I allowed them to tow my car to their lot. However, this trust was misplaced, as I was about to find out. The day after the accident, I was blindsided with a nearly $400 bill for towing and storage services. When I confronted the staff about the AAA coverage that was promised by their drivers, I was met with utter disdain. The women at the desk was particularly rude, embodying an attitude that seemed to take pleasure in my predicament. Her lack of empathy, blatant rudeness, and dismissive behavior were appalling. Despite my attempts to explain the situation, she showed no interest in helping or understanding, insisting that I pay the full amount if I wanted my car back. Their conduct went beyond mere customer service failings; it felt like a deliberate act of deception. By telling me one thing and doing another, they not only lied but also manipulated the situation to their financial advantage. This bait-and-switch tactic is not just unprofessional; it’s predatory, especially towards customers in vulnerable situations. The ordeal didn’t stop at financial exploitation. In an unfounded and slanderous move, one of their employees told our tow truck driver (who was from another company and there to pick up my car from Southside) that we had attempted to evade police on the night of the crash. This accusation was not only baseless but malicious, further adding to the stress and anxiety of the situation. Such behavior is not just unprofessional; it's unethical. Even a simple request made by my girlfriend for a PDF copy of the receipt was met with immediate rudeness. This consistent lack of basic courtesy and professionalism from multiple staff members points to a deep-rooted issue within their company culture. It's clear that Southside Towing does not hold its employees to a standard of respect, honesty, or integrity. Moreover, upon retrieving my car, I noticed additional scrapes and damage that I am certain, were not there before the tow. This discovery only added to my, highlighting their negligence and lack of care for customer property. From my experience, Southside Towing has shown themselves to be without morals, leveraging their position to exploit those in crisis. I strongly advise against using their services. There are tow companies out there that embody professionalism and honesty—Southside Towing is not one of them.
Well my car was mistakenly towed from my cousins apartments. They let me pull it out on a awesome discount and they even gave me a discount tow to the mechanic shop down the street because it wasn't running. Southside !
Towed my car and after I paid the fees, provided a current DL and current car registration the Manager Dave refused to release my car. He then became very angry and hostile and confrontational. He literally tried to instigate and illicit a reaction out of my wife and myself. I would not recommend any community to partner with them as they are unprofessional and
I’ve been using these guys for almost 10 years. primarily because of convenience and their location. They work for the Newport Beach police department and will tow your car and hold it hostage as long as they possibly can to rack up the biggest bill possible even if you’re a long time return customer. They will not work with you in anyway and are overpriced anyways so you can do better and find someone cheaper who doesn’t take advantage of people. Do not go here under any circumstance! They need to learn!!!!!!!!!
